  • MBF is the first independent Conservation Trust Fund (CTF) in Myanmar and registered as Company Limited by Guarantee (not-for-profit).​
  • MBF has been established as the key output from GEF 5 Project “Strengthening Sustainability of Protected Area Management in Myanmar (2015 – 2020)” implemented by Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MONREC), Forest Department, UNDP and Wildlife Conservation Society(WCS).
